Gunnlaugur is one of the founding partners of Viska Digital Assets.

He has worked in financial markets since 1997 and serves as Managing Director of the Fintech Cluster, a community around technical and financial innovation in Iceland.

Gunnlaugur previously created the managed the company Fronkensteen.

He managed the investment companies Straumborg and Lindir Resources from 2005 to 2013

Before that, Gunnlaugur ran GJ Fjármálaráðgjöf from 2001, providing investment and financial advice, at the same time as being a co-founder of the fund Ansuz Investments.

Gunnlaugur holds a B.Sc. in mechanical- and industrial engineering from University of Iceland.
