Solana ETFs Gain Momentum Amid SEC Engagement and Gary Gensler's Upcoming Departure

Notable asset managers such as VanEck, 21Shares, Bitwise Asset Management, and Canary Capital have all submitted 19b-4 filings for Solana ETFs as of recently. This proactive engagement from the SEC, as highlighted by multiple sources, signals progress in regulatory discussions. Recent developments include SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s announcement of his resignation, effective in January of 2025, which has fueled optimism for a potentially more ‘’crypto-friendly’’ regulatory environment.

If approved, these ETFs could provide investors with new avenues to gain exposure to one of the most innovative blockchain ecosystems in the market today.

According to DefiLlama, DEX volumes for SOL have reached record numbers. Surpassing over $100 billion USD in volume, nearly double of ETH.

Stay tuned as Solana continues to solidify its position in both the blockchain and traditional financial sectors, driving institutional interest and accessibility to digital assets.
